Visitation Updates

Screening Entrances and Hours

  • Main Admitting visitation times for inpatient and outpatient procedures:
    • Monday – Friday 5AM-10PM
    • Weekends 6AM-10PM
  • Center for Women and Infants open for CWI patients and visitors only
    • Open 24 hours per day, 7 days a week.
  • Wheatley Stewart Medical Pavilion
    • Open 5AM - 3PM Monday through Friday.
  • ED Entrance for ED patients and visitors only
    • Open 24 hours per day, 7 days a week.

Visitation Guidelines

  • Non-COVID patients on inpatient units (4C, 5C, 6C, 7C, 8C, 9C, 6W, 3W, 2W, ICU2, ICU4, LTACH) can have:
    • One visitor (must be over the age of 18) at a time in the room. Maximum one visitor at a time.
    • Comfort Care/End of Life/Hospice: up to five visitors at a time with approval from house supervisor or charge nurse of unit being visited.
  • Non-COVID patients in CWI/ED/OR/PEDS (ED, L&D, NICU, 4E, 5W and patients actively in surgery) can have:
    • One visitor (must be over the age of 18) at a time in the room.
    • Comfort Care/End of Life/Hospice: up to five visitors at a time with approval from house supervisor or charge nurse of unit being visited.
  • COVID patients (positive or investigation):
    • Must wear appropriate PPE and check in at the nurses’ station prior to entering patient room.
    • One visitor per patient per day that is pre-arranged with nursing staff.
    • Comfort Care/End of Life/Hospice: two visitors at a time.

Visitor Requirements:

  • All visitors will be screened and must pass screening prior to entering the building.
  • It is required that visitors wear a mask covering nose and mouth while in the building at all times.
  • Visitors are only allowed in patient rooms during visitation.
  • No visitors allowed (into facility) less than 18 years old, unless approved by director.
  • Lobby and waiting rooms are closed to visitors except in the following areas.
    • OR Waiting Room
      • Two visitors 18 or older are allowed to wait during surgery. Mask must be worn at all times. Only one visitor can accompany the patient to their inpatient room post procedure.
    • Other Procedure Waiting Areas
      • No visitors allowed unless required to accompany a minor patient or any other patient that requires assistance/support for that procedure. Visitor must wear a mask at all times.
    • ED Waiting Room
      • ED can have one visitor per patient. Visitor must wear a mask at all times while in the facility.
      • Children of adult patients with no additional adult support for those children at time of visit will be allowed to stay with adult patient during visit or until arrangements can be made for supervision by family.
  • Any visitor with any symptoms of COVID-19 or recently exposed will not be allowed to enter the facility.

Other Information:

  • Clergy/pastor/minister allowed to visit patients anytime.
  • Therapy dogs are allowed.
  • Volunteers 16 and up are allowed.

All exceptions to visitor limitations must be approved by director or house supervisor.
