Daisy Award

The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses at MCH!

The DAISY Award is an international recognition program started in memory of J. Patrick Barnes. Pat’s family experienced first-hand the difference his nurses made in his care through clinical excellence and outstanding compassionate care.

The family created The DAISY Award to express gratitude to nurses and to enable other patients, families, and staff to thank and honor their special nurses.

BOOST Award

Building On Opportunities to Support our Teams

Our BOOST Award is designed for our support staff on the floors. These include CNA's, PCA's, and Unit Clerks that support our nursing staff with all of their daily duties.

The reason we created the BOOST Award, was to recognize our support staff that work just as hard as our nursing staff to make our patients stay with us comfortable, safe, and important.

BEE Award

There are no daisies without bees.

The BEE Award honors (non-nurse) colleagues who support the role of the Register Nurse (RN) to deliver extraordinary patient care.

Colleagues include: Respiratory Therapy, Rehab Services (Speech, Physical, and Occupational Therapy), Radiology, Lab and Phlebotomy. Any colleague outside of nursing. RN's and LPN's should be nominated for the DAISY Award.
