Educational Services Offered

Medical Center Health System offers a variety of educational services to help you advance your training. Please contact the Nursing Education Department at (432) 640-1085 if you would like information on the following classes:

  • BLS Classes are available monthly for regional healthcare professionals who need to know how to perform CPR, as well as other lifesaving skills, in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings. The hybrid classes include online modules and in-person skills check-offs.
  • ACLS Classes are monthly, classroom-based courses for regional providers to enhance their skills in treating adult victims of cardiac arrest or other cardiopulmonary emergencies, while earning their American heart Association ACLS (AHA ACLS) for Healthcare Providers Course Completion Card.

  • Mosby Skills and Consult is an evidence-based portal for all MCHS staff and students, offering unique skills-based videos and checklists, monographs, images, and many links to nursing journals and references. Mosby is the key to maintaining best practice guidelines at the patient bedside in a current, up-to-date manner.
  • Staywell (formerly called Lodegenet) is an interactive patient education system that empowers patients to participate in their educational plan of care at any time, via the bedside TV remote. Patients can access on-demand educational videos on a wide variety of diagnoses, procedures, general health promotion, and well-being services.
