See a Board-Certified OB/GYN at MCH Women's Clinic

At Medical Center Health System, our compassionate OB/GYNs help women protect their health from all stages of life. Our doctors guide their patients through common conditions that affect the female body, from menstruation to pregnancy and menopause. We also have lactation consultants on hand to assist women who choose to breastfeed their newborns.

What Does an OB/GYN Do?

OB/GYNs, or obstetrician/gynecologists, are specialists in the female reproductive system. The best way a woman can protect her health is through preventative care and seeing an OB/GYN for a yearly checkup. During your appointment, your OB/GYN will ask questions to determine if you need any evaluations to collect specimens for lab tests or to look for certain diseases. Whether you need testing depends on your age, overall health, and sexual history. Women should see their OB/GYN for any of their reproductive or sexual health needs, including family planning/contraception, pregnancy, menopause, and more.

OB/GYNs commonly treat the following female health concerns:

  • Abnormal vaginal bleeding
  • Pelvic pain
  • Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)
  • Urinary incontinence
  • Endometriosis
  • Hormonal disorders
  • Infertility
  • Bacterial and viral sexually transmitted infections (STIs, also called STDs)
  • Plus more

Our 19,900 square foot facility is home to Obstetrician/Gynecologists Dr. Avelino Garcia, Dr. Raymond Martinez, Dr. Sanchita Yadalla, and Jackie Lehr, who specialize in a full spectrum of services from routine exams and counseling to the management of high-risk pregnancy and minimally invasive surgery.
