National Spirit Awards

The Spirit of Women awards program was created to “celebrate” ordinary men and women accomplishing extraordinary feats. Since 2001 MCH has honored more than 70 women and 1 man for their stellar efforts at making a difference in the lives of others and in their communities.

Winners are selected based on the contribution they made to the issues faced in the areas of work, family, and health and on the impact they have had in their community and on the lives of others. The awards are granted to the “unsung” community heroes - those who have not been recognized in any major way, but whose contributions are substantial nonetheless.
