Breastfed Baby Pageant

MCH where miracles continually happen!!

We are proud to have the designation of being the only Texas Ten Step hospital in the area. This means we are dedicated to supporting and helping mothers breastfeed their newborns for the first year of life. This is recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics. As part of our support we annually hold our breastfeeding fair and breastfeeding baby pageant. These are used to get information out to the public regarding the benefits to both mom and infant of breastfeeding. We open the baby pageant to all moms who have breastfed their baby and the age of participation is 1month to 24months of age. We have many vendors who participate each year in support of this event.

MCH has an International Breastfeeding Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), who is available to help breastfeeding mothers from birth and after discharge, and all staff is available to help as well. At MCH we value you and your infant’s health and want to assist you in being a successful breastfeeding mom.
