Wound Care Clinic

Relatively new to the scope of services provided by the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation department at Medical Center Hospital, is the wound care team.  The team is composed of a physician, a certified wound specialist, physical therapists, a registered nurse, a licensed vocational nurse and licensed physical therapy assistants.  Patients with diabetes-related ulcers, burns, ischemic ulcers, venous insufficiency ulcers and traumatic injuries receive care from this multidisciplinary team.  The consolidation of care brings the expertise of all these people together, making it easier on the patient and speeding recovery.
