Speech Pathology

Speech, language and pathology services at Medical Center Hospital are provided to adults who may have been affected by stroke or head injury and to children who have delayed speech or language abilities.  The staff can assist with speech disorders such as stuttering or mumbling as well as improper use or processing of words.   The staff also provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment for patients with swallowing disorders.  Augmentative speech devices, video equipment, computers and communication boards are all used by speech therapists to improve or restore our patients' communication and swallowing skills.
