Occupational Therapy

Medical Center Hospital occupational therapists help patients recovering from job-related injuries, stroke or mental health problems and assist children with developmental delays.  Therapists work with patients to "relearn" and perform the simple functions of their daily lives such as feeding, cooking and bathing.   Our staff also educates patients on adaptive equipment that can make the chores of daily life simpler.  Memory and cognitive problems are treated with developmental toys and educational props.  Each of these methods of treatment can help our patients regain functional independence.
