Surgical Unit (6 Central)

Medical Center Hospital’s Acute Surgical Unit is located on the 6th floor. Though 6 Central is a very high paced unit, patient satisfaction is a priority with staff and is reflected in their positive scores. We serve a general surgical population as well as our bariatric and intermediate patients. 6C has 31 beds with 12-hour shifts and is staffed with general as well as specialty surgeons, gastroenterologists, trauma surgeons, residents, registered nurses, physical therapists, respiratory therapists, and other specially trained support personnel.
