The Clinical Career Ladder is designed to provide the Registered Nurse and the Licensed Vocational Nurse with a formal opportunity to progress to a higher level of recognized expertise in the clinical arena.  Rewards for varying degrees of clinical competence with monetary incentives as well as professional acknowledgment are provided through the ladder.

The goals of the Ladder are to:

  • Enhance job satisfaction

  • Recognize and reward the skill, knowledge and expertise of the RN and LVN staff

  • Reward Clinical Competence and an atmosphere that fosters mentoring and development of others

  • Value and support Professional and Personal Growth and  Development

  • Foster an environment that supports the direct care nurses in the organizational priority of Patient Safety

  • Advance Evidence Based Practice and Nursing Research

Applications for the Clinical Career Ladder are accepted twice a year, May 1st-15th and December 1st-15th.

The vision of a magnetic work environment is emphasized.  Monetary incentives for participants are scheduled to occur two (2) times a year in December and July.  Jump on the Ladder and blast off!!!
