In a continuing effort to provide quality care, Medical Center Hospital has adopted a flexible visitation policy throughout the facility.  Studies have proven that recovery time is shortened by including family members in the administration of patient care during times of illness.

General visiting hours:       
            10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
              4:00 p.m. to  8:30 p.m.

Visiting hours for the Intensive Care and Coronary Care Units: 
               9:00 a.m. to  1:00 p.m.
               3:00 p.m. to  6:00 p.m.
               8:30 p.m. to  10:00 p.m.

Security personnel and nursing staff members may restrict visiting hours at any time when it is deemed necessary to preserve the welfare of any patient.  For the safety of our patients and our staff, access to the hospital may also be limited during certain hours.

Only two visitors per patient are allowed to visit at a time plus a spouse/significant other.

Children 12 years and under are not permitted above the first floor or in the Emergency Department unless they require hospital services or are adhering to the visitation guidelines. Children must be accompanied by an adult and must remain in the patient’s room. Children are not allowed in any waiting areas above the first floor.

Overnight visitors are permitted in private rooms only with permission from the Charge Nurse. The Housekeeping Department has a limited number of cots, free of charge, for overnight visitors’ use.
